You don’t have to start a fire and go outside to roast marshmallows to make s’mores when it’s snowing outside. This rich chocolaty brownie based cookie is definitely reminiscent of the campfire classic but without the fuss. I made this cookie mix as one of the assortment of homemade gifts from my kitchen this holiday season. I baked this batch just to make sure that what I’m giving will turn out the same way in my friend’s kitchens. Homemade gifts are the best, whether from the kitchen, craft room or artist’s studio…the time, effort and creativity that is spent on them always puts a big smile on my face.
Not only would these make great gifts but what a great idea at your next bake sale!
To make this as a gift, put the dry ingredients in a bakery gift bag or a large mason jar, put the mini marshmallows, chocolate chips and cereal in a seal-able sandwich bag and put on top of the dry ingredients. The recipient of this delicious gift only has to add the eggs, melted butter and vanilla to it. Print out this recipe on card stock and tie it to the gift bag or mason jar and you are good to go.
Kids and adults, of course…jut can’t resist these yummy cookies! Make sure you have plenty of milk for dunking
Finger licking good isn’t just for chicken anymore…lol
